Charlotte Is A Writer

For the third week of my 20% project, I have learned so much. I have also learned how I like to set up my page on my scrapbook. For example, I first like to choose and pick out all of my materials such as stickers, papers, tape, and scissors that will cut out designes on the paper I have. Then I will flip to the page I want to scrapbook on and set all of my matierials down and plan my layout. I have figured out that I like to put all of my bigger papers on the bottom of the paper and then layer it with the smaller papers and stickers on top. And after I am done with that I sometimes like to put washy tape around the border of the paper to make it look more crisp and clean. So as you can see for week three of my 20% project I have learned so much about how I like to scrapbook.

Hello my name is Charlotte and this is what I did for week 2 of my 20% project. So first I got my materials and unpacked them, I had materials such as papers, notebook, stickers, washy tape, etc… So first I had experienced with the different colors and sizes of my papers and washy tape. So when I got to class I had completed my goal and in fact exceeded it. So when I got to work I knew exactly what I was doing. First, I always choose which and what materials to use, after that I will work on my layout and see how I wants to have the materials look like on the page, the last but not least I will make sure everything is put down everything so it does not move with sticky dots. And that is what I have done and learned for week 2 of my 20% project.

What does it mean to be a good neighbor? Well first a neighbor is someone you live next to. For example a person next door to you, across the street from you, of someone you may share a wall with. But there are many types of neighbors. But, what does it mean to be a good neighbor? Well, to me it means to help them out or even as simple as being nice and kind/helpful neighbor to them. For example, say you neighbor went out of town and they needed your help to dog sit there dogs. You would do it right? Depending on the circumstances you probably would. But you have to take care of there dog such as give them food, water, and a clean space to play in. Another example is if you have a new neighbor you could bring them some home made baked goods. Just to get off on the right start and to be inviting. And that is what it is to be a good neighbor.

At last a smile comes on face when I wake up and don’t have to get ready for school. Can you guess which day it is? It’s Saturday of course! My very favorite day of the week is Saturday. It’s because all I have to worry about that day is getting ready for my game, packing for my brother and cousins games, and getting in the car to ride over to the fields. I love Saturdays because I go from my game, to my brothers game, and sometimes I get to see my cousins games in between to! I love hanging out at the fields and making great and long lasting memories there. I also love watching the game. It has and always will be so fun to watch to me. And I’m always excited to see the outcome of the game and see how we get there. And that is why Saturday is my favorite day of the week. What’s yours?

Hello, my name is Charlotte and for my 20% project I chose scrapbooking. I chose to do scrapbooking because I find it interesting and a great way to express creativity. This week I did not have supplies because I changed my project so I did have to redo my planing for the week. So today I have done a lot of research on scrapbooking. For example, did you know that President Thomas Jefferson used to make his own scrapbooks. Scrapbooking also originated in England and in the 15th century it started to get semi popular. Cool right? And for my planer I hope to complete at least one or two pages of scrap booking. I hope to do my scrap booking on subjects like the ocean and nature. And wish to include stickers and interesting backgrounds. When the 20% project is over I plan to display my scrap booking skills and explain in detail how and what I did to achieve my goal, or at least try to.

If I could only invite three people to dinner who would it be?

At last after a long day of meal prepping and slaving over the stove all day I’m finally done and so is the meal! I cooked a wonderful honey baked ham. But all this meal can’t just feed one person. It could feed at least three! So now I need to choose who to invite. So if I could only invite three people to dinner who would it be? Oh I know I would invite my brother, my Mom, and my Dad. This is because I love family, I’m a family person. First I would invite my brother because we have so many memories together and he is very funny but sometimes it’s annoying. Just joking. And then I would invite my Mom because she does so much for the family and is usually the on who cooks dinner. And then lastly I would invite my Dad. This is because he always plays catch with me and helps me practice when I need to. I chose these three people to come to my dinner because these are people I hold very close to my heart.

If you could have any job in the world what would it be?

If I had my dream job I would be an entrepreneur, but not just any entrepreneur. I would have a little shop on the beach on Oahu Hawaii. Preferably in Waikiki or Kailua. And in this shop I would sell coconuts, lays, candles, soaps, beach towels, snorkel gear, and local food such as poke, spam, and seafoods. This shop would be on or near the beach. This shop would be my dream job because it is my dream to live on Hawaii one day swimming in the ocean almost everyday well owning and running a little shop. I love this idea of mine because there are many local stores in Hawaii such as the ABC store or the Kalapawai Store which is my favorite. I think it would be perfect to own and work on the beach in Hawaii well living next to the water. And that is why owning a little shop on Hawaii is my dream job.

This February I read a book called It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. I have not yet finished this book but I am currently on page 86. This book is about a girl who had just moved to Organ but her father just died. Even though her father was no the nicest person her mother still pressured her to come to his funeral which did not go very well. When she gets back home she meats a guy on the roof top which has a crush on her and she has a crush mon him. But there is one problem. They do not want remotely the same things in the life so she thinks it will never work even though he is desperately trying to make it work. Personally I very much like this book so far because I have a short attention span which means I love when books get to the plot very quickly which this book very much does so. I also love this book because it will keep you on your toes. Like when you think something will happen but then it turns out not to and you are in shock what will happen next. And my favorite character from this book is Lily Bloom. Lily Bloom is the main character of this book and she is very determined, truthful, and hard working. For example, “ I try to find something to grab hold of for balance, but the crates knock me off the chair. When I lands on the floor, I can fell my foot bend in the wrong direction. It’s followed by a rush of pain straight up my leg and down to my toes.” This shows that even though an obstacle got thrown in her way well she was trying to open her new business she got back up and finally opened her shop no matter what obstacles are thrown in her way this shows that she is a hard and determined person. And when she wanted to own her own flower shop she bought a small building which was a mess but she was determined to get it up and ready in know time. And that is exactly what she did. And last but not least my favorite quote from this book so far is “ Of course if I could, I would have made it where he never touched her. But the abuse was inevitable with their marriage, and it became our norm. When I got older, I realized that not doing something about it made me just guilty.” This is my favorite quote in this book because it shows that even though people may have had a ruff past you can choose if you want to turn your life around or not and not to be always sad or not. Just like lily bloom did by opening a flower shop.

Imagine you were invisible for twenty-four hours, what would you do?

If I were invisible for twenty-four hours I know exactly what I would do. First I would wake up and get ready for the day even though I was invisible. Then I would go for a walk around my neighborhood. But well I would go on the walk around the neighborhood I might go take a peak and be a little nosy and see what there house look like. And then after about one hour of wondering in and out of houses I’ve always wondered what would be inside, I decide to go walk to the grocery store to go get some snacks since my cousins party is tomorrow. I would get chips and soda then run back home so fast so people don’t notice that random food is floating in the air. And after that I would go to school. But not with my backpack and anything I need to be at school. Instead I would go to all of my least favorite teachers classrooms and creep them out all day long. I think it would be pretty funny and give me a giggle. After that I would got to the lunch table me and my friends sit at at lunch and break and see what they talk about when I’m not there. I think that would be pretty interesting. And lastly I would walk home and get ready for bed because that was a long day. And that is what I would do in a day if I was invisible.

It was around 4:45 AM on July 12th on the Golden Angel which was the name of our ship. We knew there would be some ruff seas but nobody expected the seas to be this ruff. We could hear waves crashing against the side of the boat as we rocked back and fourth. Until the waves pushed the boat on its side and that when it all went to hell. Children screaming for there mothers, people shouting and yelling, people being selfish, and people being selfless. It was complete chaos. And the worst part was there was nothing you could possibly do to stop it. I woke up to the sound of water rushing into my room. I quickly jumped out of bed and ran out side to see what was going on. Half the ship submerged in water with half of the people in it. And the other half floating with people crying out for help. I quickly knew that I was soon to be one of the people who were submerged in the water. I jumped out of my room door into the water then… I was washed up on a little island with a tiny reaf and a sand bank around it. I quickly got up and looked around and only one soul could be found. My dog. I must have blacked out because I don’t remember grabbing him when I jumped. In fact I could not even find him. I sprinted over to see if he was ok. I woke him up and he stood up in concern very quick. He was as confused as I was. We eventually built a hut and learned how to hunt for fish, coconuts, and pigs on the island. We grew old together until… one day about 5 years later we woke up to a group of people standing over us. I woke up scared not knowing who these people were. Then me and my pup jumped up in excitement. There here to save us! Even though it was hard to leave the island that gave me so much and even save me and my dogs life. It was time, to get saved.
